Since
the publication of our Stakeholder Research Report and ensuing Saxmundham
Community Plan ( Feb. 2009) - providing Saxmundham and district
with a Vision and Action Plan, to meet stakeholder needs and wants
- the volunteer directors of The Saxmundham & District Community
Interest Company have been arranging various meetings to progress
delivery of its part of the Action Plan.

- October 1st Suffolk County Council divests management of its Saxmundham Community Resource Centre to The Saxmundham & District Community Interest Company. It was immediately rebranded as the Fromus Centre (after a local river running through the town and local villages) and a refurbishment and marketing programme was started, involving local volunteers (including the Alde Vally School).

- April 25th Following a 6-month review meeting, senior representatives off Suffolk County Council expressed their great satisfaction when the results clearly demonstrated not only a significant reduction in running costs but an increased uptake of community users and revenue - and a future that looked even brighter.
